Perzeo

Tripo New Companion Unlocked challenge

A rescued dog from Guayaquil turned into a video game companion, with his surgery knee braces as hero armor. Modeled with Tripo P2 and animated in Blender.

Perzeo: 3D character and animation

The real Perzeo

Perzeo is a puppy rescued by Salvando Patitas, the foundation whose platform I also built. He was hit by a car, had surgery on both knees and is learning to walk again. The reel was published as a collab with the foundation to help him find a family.

From photos to a character

I started from real photos and designed a 2D concept: the knee braces became white and gold armor with a paw print and a blue gem, plus a red bandana, a harness, saddlebags and a tennis ball. Four views, front, both sides and back, went into Tripo P2 Smart Mesh in multiview mode, with quad topology and a 4K texture.

Fixed and animated in Blender

Tripo painted the ball strap from a single view, so a Python script in Blender finds the ball by its texture color, rebuilds it as a clean sphere with a real seam and adds a leather strap. The rigged model walks, runs, gives the paw and turns on a stone path.

A game unlock, for real life

The 42 second vertical reel works like a game screen: companion unlocked, a character card, the hero knee braces, the real dog next to the 3D one, how it was made, and a last screen that asks to unlock him in real life by adopting him.
